The Right Cymbal for the Right Player
We aren't sure what to make of the Paiste Rude Shred Bell. It's neither a crash, splash, or ride, but it has qualities of all three. The Shred Bell's cowbell-like attack is nice for accentuating bass drum patterns. It sounds a bit like a ride in that regard, but much thinner and more focused. It gets good and trashy as it opens up, which we can see working well for quarter-note breakdown rhythms. The Shred Bell is also articulate for cymbal work. All we can say is try one for yourself!
Paiste Rude cymbals: punk and metal's preference since 1980
For raw attitude and projection that carries beyond the stage, there's nothing like Paiste Rude cymbals. Each crash, hat, and ride in this series is built with one goal in mind: unbridled musical energy. So whether you sling sludge in the South or rock studio metal in Sweden, take it from Sweetwater: Paiste's Rude series cymbals have what you're after. Just ask Hatebreed's Matt Byrne or Slayer's Paul Bostaph.
