The Paiste 2002 series
This is the sound of rock. Introduced in 1971, Paiste's 2002 series cymbals defined the sound of classic rock. Paiste has continued to develop the line, and today these cymbals are heard in virtually every flavor of electric music. Made with CuSn8 Bronze (aka 2002 Bronze), 2002 cymbals are very versatile and work great in a wide variety of musical settings, including classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy and progressive metal, fusion, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul, and gospel. The sound is brilliant and clear, warm and strong, with powerful projection.
Paiste - a tradition of innovation
Headquartered in Switzerland, Paiste meets the creative needs of drummers and percussionists with innovative cymbals, gongs, and bronze percussion instruments. Founded at the beginning of the 20th Century, Paiste lays claim to a number of cymbal firsts, including the first use of 8% bronze, the wavy-edged hi-hat bottom cymbal, the bell-less flat ride, unlathed hammered cymbals, color-coated cymbals, China cymbals with a downturned edge, and the invention of their Signature Bronze Alloy. World-class drummers such as Bill Bruford, Stewart Copeland, and Vinnie Colaiuta have long relied on Paiste cymbals to forge their signature sounds - and you can, too!
